VidUKon 2022: What's coming up?

With VidUKon 2022 only a few months away, here’s what you can expect from this year’s con, which takes place on the weekend of 10-12 June 2022.

We’re planning and hoping for a hybrid convention. This means we’ll be keeping the online con you’ve come to know and love over the past couple of years, and bringing back the physical con, which will take place in our long-time home in Wales, the Future Inn Cardiff Bay. Both elements of VidUKon will run side by side, and we have some tricks up our sleeves to help join the halves into a cohesive event for our entire community.

The physical con will, of course, take place subject to any Welsh and UK government Covid-19 safety restrictions, as well as the convention hotel’s own policies. We will also operate our own Covid-19 safety policy - watch this space for firmer details coming very soon, but broadly speaking, we want to be as careful as possible and we’ll be asking all in-person attendees to take precautions to keep everyone at the con safe.

As for what else you can expect from the con, it’ll be our usual mix of vidshows, panels, socials, workshops and general fannish fun - registrations for both online and in-person membership will open soon, plus watch this space for our call for content suggestions!
