Group Vidding Workshop Signups Open!

Signups are now open for this year’s group vidding workshop!
The group vidding workshop is just what it sounds like - a chance to work in a group to make (part of) a vid. Each small group (about 3-5 people) gets a section of a song to vid, as well as a selection of sources to use, and at the end all of the sections are stitched together to make a miraculous Frankenvid.
The workshop is suitable for everyone from experienced vidders to complete newbies, and in fact being on a team with more practised editors is a great way to get a taste of making a vid if you’ve been thinking about giving it a try! Folks seeking a challenge can offer to be the designated vidder for a team - that is, being the person who actually puts clips on the timeline to bring everyone’s vision together.
The workshop is scheduled over a few hours on the Saturday afternoon of the con. When you sign up, you can select which timezones you can work in, and you will be put in a team accordingly.
Once you’ve registered for the con, you can sign up for the workshop in one of two ways:
If you’d like to be randomly placed in a team, navigate to the workshop in the schedule on Conline, click on it, fill in your availability, select whether or not you’re prepared to be a designated vidder, and then click “I’ll be there!”
If you’d like to form your own team with friends who are also attending, email the concom (firstname.lastname@example.org) to let us know. You can choose whether you’d like your team to be open to additional members.
Whatever you choose, please do your best to sign up before Friday 4 June, to give us plenty of time to get teams in order before the con. No new teams will be formed after this date, so anyone signing up will be added to an existing team.
Less than three weeks to go - see you all there!
