Exciting news - vid submissions are now open for both Premieres and Vidder’s Choice! If you have registered for VidUKon 2021, you can now submit your vids for both shows via this Google Form. The deadline for Vidder’s Choice is Saturday 1 May, and the deadline for Premieres is Sunday 9 May. If you want to submit a vid to one or both shows but you don’t expect to be registered before these deadlines, please email us at vidukon AT gmail DOT com, and we will let you know how to get your vids to us.

Premieres

Absolutely any vidder can submit a premiering vid to VidUKon. You do not need to be attending the convention. You do not need to be at any particular level of skill or experience. The vid you submit can be in any fandom, genre or style. It can be a solo vid or a collaboration. The only requirement is that the vid be completely new, showing for the first time at the con. This means that once you submit it to us, you cannot release it online or show it at any other convention until after the Premieres show on Saturday night of the con. After that you can release the vid as usual.

The deadline for Premieres is Sunday 9 May, so make sure to submit your vid before then. You will need both a streaming link and a download link for a video file, for the Premieres DVD. The streaming link should not be passworded, but it should also not be easily found before Premieres, so that people can’t watch the vid beforehand. The downloadable file can be in any common video format.

Vidder’s Choice

Vidders who have registered to attend this year’s convention can submit one of their own existing vids to this show. It can be any vid at all that you've made, so long as it has been previously released. This is an opportunity to highlight a hidden gem, celebrate an old favourite, or maybe even drag a few new people into an obscure fandom!

The deadline for Vidder's Choice is Saturday 1 May, so make sure to submit your vid before then. You will need both a streaming link and a download link for a file (to make curation easier). The streaming link should not be passworded. The downloadable file can be in any common video format.

We can't wait to see your vids!
